David joined QRI after a distinguished career in journalism, and brings with him extensive experience finding leads and conducting interviews. He joined The Independent at its founding in 1986 as a foreign correspondent and investigative reporter, and he was its US Editor from 2009 to 2016. For The Independent, he reported on the special counsel probes of Bill Clinton, the East Timor War, and the trials of Martha Stewart, John Edwards, and Omar Abdel-Rahman, among many other assignments. He has been a runner-up as UK Foreign Correspondent of the Year and shortlisted for the George Orwell Prize. He has contributed to CNN, ABC, NBC, and the BBC and has written investigative pieces for Esquire and Monocle.
