David Burghauser
Managing Director, Head of Cyber Investigations
David leads QRI’s cyber investigations practice. He is an expert at investigating domain squatting, unmasking anonymous internet activity, exposing digital piracy, and rooting out other online frauds. David also specializes in broader investigative work: uncovering undisclosed business relationships, finding and extracting facts from obscure public records, and interviewing witnesses.
He previously worked for CME Group, the derivatives marketplace that owns the Chicago and New York Mercantile Exchanges, where he investigated trade practice violations, such as non-competitive trading, price manipulation, and other compliance issues. David also worked at the Mintz Group and iThreat Cyber Group, where he focused on computer forensics and litigation support.
